Peninsula Artisans Annual Working Studio Tour
Hosted in mid-September each year

STURGEON BAY, WI - Each year the Peninsula Artisans invite art lovers to travel central Door County to enjoy a variety of live demonstrations provided at their various working studios over a two-day weekend. An introductory lecture presenting slides and information on the diversity of Artisan's work is generally included as one of the opening events.

Details for the 2005 show are yet to be finalized but they will be posted here when they are complete. The craftsmen also host numerous specific demonstrations of their particular techniques and skills at their individual studios.

Potter Amy Zachariasen will be working in her studio on oversized clay creations at 4999 Plum Bottom Road, Egg Harbor. You can see her work displayed in its natural environment as her gallery is festooned with gardens, ponds and her fountains, ceramic birdbaths and other large garden artworks.
Glassblowers Jeremy Popelka and Stephanie Trenchard will be working with molten glass at Popelka Trenchard Glass, 64 S. 2nd Avenue in downtown Sturgeon Bay. They are known for their murrini blown glass and cast glass pieces respectively.
Sculptor Robert Anderson will be working with metal. He fabricates large interactive garden kaleidoscopes as well as other sculptural pieces at his RC Anderson Company, 6875 Tagge Road south of Sturgeon Bay off County Hwy S.

Michael Doerr will demonstrate his unique furniture design and woodworking techniques at his wood shop studio located at 4371 County M in rural Sturgeon Bay.

Richard Furrer will show visitors how he creates a variety of high quality hand forged fine art works in metal. His gallery workshop includes everything from custom architectural metal work to tempered steel knives and swords. Door County Forgeworks is located at 3179 May Road in Sturgeon Bay.

You can meet with all the artisans under one roof on Saturday evening as they gather to celebrate the tour with a reception usually held at Popelka Trenchard Glass in Sturgeon Bay. Enjoy refreshments and a group show of Peninsula Artisans' works on display in the gallery.
