FISH CREEK, WI - It is 7:30pm. as I turn north on County "A" and head for Peninsula Park's lot 5 parking area. The driver ahead of me is buying an admission sticker from a park attendant who works a makeshift sales booth, the hood of his pickup truck, appropriately outfitted with candles. He checks our sticker and waves us in.

The parking lot is full of cars but, park staff skillfully manage the traffic with their lighted parking batons. As we are guided to an empty space, my headlights reveal a crowd on skis!
