Door County has numerous ozone alert days that can affect the health of anyone doing vigorous exercise or with lung problems like emphysema or asthma. Door County has an EPA monitoring station situated at Newport State Park in Ellison Bay, and the WI DNR provides daily data reports from this station on-line. You can also review the EPA's data to see the daily nationwide and the daily midwest ozone alert map archive with data collected since 1998.
